About Hamel Family Foundation

  • History

Established in 2017 by Jim and Kristen Hamel, the Hamel Family Foundation supports organizations that are committed to advancing the education, health and well-being of individuals that are not able to do so on their own accord. The Hamel Family Foundation has supported countless charitable organizations over the past seven years, and picks new organizations to support each year.

  • Purpose

The purpose of the Jim and Kristen Hamel Family Foundation, Inc. is to provide financial support for charitable organizations whose missions are to:

Support the education and well-being of disadvantaged children and their families through scholarship opportunities and extracurricular programs. Promote animal care, protection and placement with supportive caregivers. Focus on organizations in our local communities or within activities the board is actively involved with.

  • Who We Are

The Foundation is comprised of all Hamel family members including Kristen, Jim, Nickolas, Emily, Katherine, Jacob, and Sydney. It supports the diverse passions of each individual within the greater Foundation mission.

“Dear Jim and Kristen, It was a pleasure to meet you and have the opportunity to share information about BBBS. Thank you for your generous donation. We will use it for our celebration dinner and to purchase some laptops. The rest of the funds will be used to support our matches. I appreciate your support over the past several years. It allows us to continue our mission to serve our youth in Washington County.”

“Hamel Family, thank you so much for your continued support of the USHJA through the Hamel Family Scholarship to further Education. The scholarship has changed the lives of those who have received it.”
